Tuesday afternoon…only 3 more days!

Ahh..the anxiety is building! You know, last week after the Selection Show, there was a lot of excitement the rest of the week as our preparation for NCAA’s officially began. While the excitement is stil there of course, the atmosphere now is that it is “go time”! After a long year of practicing, we are days away–hours even–from FINALLY beginning what we had set out out to do in this very Team Room (where I am typing from) back in September. Mind-boggling, isn’t it? The coaches, the managers, and the players are just ready to go and ready to compete. As competitors, we all live for these upcoming matches and these last couples of days before they are start are challenging!

In other news, our leader Haythem Abid is on his way back from Davis Cup play (where he played for his home country of Tunisia) and should be back by the end of practice to hit a few balls at LATC. Also, from what I hear from the guys who were invited, the Scholar-Athlete banquet was a success (as one of the invitees Evan Lee joked with me, I’m definitely the scholar part but don’t count as the athlete!). Regardless, a few of the “loose-end” events from the year are all done and full steam ahead for this weekend’s matches.

Anyway, I wish I had more news to report; we are all just so anxious for it to begin. As the matches start this weekend, I’ll have MUCH more exciting coverage and then exclusive coverage if we get a chance to head to Athens, Georgia on Monday. GO BRUINS!

I’ll leave you all with a picture I just took of LATC…only a few more days until the 1st Round of the NCAA Championships are played on these courts:
